Universal Studios Hollywood has announced the return of EVE, a multi-hour New Year’s Eve celebration that will allow guests to ring in the new year at the park. Universal Studios Hollywood posted confirmation of the party’s return on their official X account on November 30 before sharing additional details about the event on their website.

Universal Studios Hollywood Confirms EVE Return

EVE will commence at 9 p.m. on December 31 and won’t conclude until 2 a.m. on January 1, meaning that guests will have the opportunity to usher in 2024 in grand fashion. According to the Universal Studios Hollywood website, admission to EVE is included with your theme park ticket or platinum annual pass. A park ticket for December 31 costs $154.

Universal Studios Hollywood wrote the following about EVE on their website:

Fill your day with heart-pounding rides, shows and attractions, and then keep the thrills going into the night. Have fun and celebrate with multiple party areas featuring music, dancing, photo ops, drinks available for purchase and a midnight countdown celebration with fireworks. Make it a New Year you’ll never forget!

The park-wide event will see several “EVE Party Areas” introduced; some of these sections will feature live DJs and encourage dancing. An assortment of specialty cocktails and other alcoholic beverages will be available in addition to “glow items and other memorabilia.” Guests will be able to snap a picture at one of several EVE-exclusive photo ops, and a grand fireworks display will take place to officially welcome the new year at midnight. The show will be visible from multiple viewing locations on both the upper and lower lots.

Several attractions will operate during EVE, though some, according to the Universal Studios Hollywood website, will close early during the event. All attractions will be closed by 1 a.m., an hour before the party’s conclusion.

Guests who attend Universal Studios Hollywood before EVE commences will have a last-minute opportunity to celebrate the holiday season at the park, as festivities formally conclude on January 1. This year’s seasonal offerings include the returning “Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle” projection show in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Grinchmas, which introduced the singing Who-Bee Doo-Wops this year.
