It’s a busy day here at the Universal Orlando Resort, and we decided to start our morning haunting Universal Studios Florida first. Upon our arrival, we discovered some mysterious new structures have appeared, possibly for the 2 rumored Halloween Horror Nights houses that will be open for day guests.

We’re really excited by the appearance of these possible entrances to the rumored houses, but nothing has been confirmed by Universal Orlando yet.

The crowds are good today. It’s busy, without feeling crowded, and the wait times are low.

There was a pretty long line outside of the UOAP Lounge for the new [ghostly swoosh] button.

The little building that looks like a circus train car has recently returned to Curious George Goes to Town, although the area is still closed due to COVID-19.

Diagon Alley is also getting some repairs around the entrance. There’s a small section that is being worked on, so there are barricades on one side.

And, as usual, the Wizarding World is crowded.

Over at Islands of Adventure, we discovered that some attractions are now loading every row on ride vehicles. Some attractions have added plexiglass dividers at the load platform gates, and others have also added them to ride vehicles. This will allow these rides to increase the number of guests per ride, which will help improve wait times for guests.

The popcorn from Interplanetary Popcorn is no longer green. Maybe that coloring wasn’t intentional.

All of the water rides were experiencing a down time at the same time, which is really unfortunate on a hot day. Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges was drained, Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls was drained, and Jurassic Park River Adventure was having technical difficulties.

The rides would eventually reopen, but it was very bad timing for all three rides to go down at the same time.

Hogsmeade is busy as always, and the line for the Three Broomsticks stretches down past the Public Conveniences (restrooms).

Perhaps the strangest thing we encountered today was the new background music in the Lost Continent. Music from DreamWorks films like “Kung Fu Panda” and “Madagascar” now play throughout the land. Characters from these films recently debuted in the area, so we assume it has something to do with that.

Well, we’re going to get out of here. Thanks for joining us around the parks today, and be sure to stay tuned to Universal Parks News Today for more!
