Fans of Universal’s Islands of Adventure love the park for far more than its incredible theming, architecture, and of course, dinosaurs. The background music loops throughout the park are as immersive as its surroundings… that is, until you hear Kool & The Gang blaring over in the corner. That’s right, with the arrival of new meet and greets in the area featuring characters from Kung Fu Panda and Madagascar, it seems they’ve changed up the music throughout The Lost Continent in favor of movie soundtracks. You can hear some of the new tracks in the video below:

In the clip, you can hear a selection of songs from various soundtracks, including:

  • “Diablo Rojo” by Rodrigo y Gabriela from Puss in Boots
  • “Party! Party! Party!” by Hans Zimmer from Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa
  • “The Hall Of Heroes” by Hans Zimmer from Kung Fu Panda 3
  • “Jungle Boogie” by Kool & The Gang

We don’t expect this to be a permanent change, but with only Mythos and a handful of other shops and quick-service restaurants open in the land, it makes sense to switch up the music for a fun twist.

Prior to the IP takeover, The Lost Continent featured mystical music that complimented the land’s main attraction, Poseidon’s Fury. However, with that attraction temporarily closed and these new characters moving in, it seems we’ll be doing the “Jungle Boogie” with King Julien for the time being.
