REVIEW: Werewolf Chocolate Cake Pop is a Horrific New Addition to the Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store at Universal Studios Florida
Universal Studios Florida has been proving that horror never dies by giving guests a little bit of Halloween Horror Nights fun to hold us over until next year. We’ve seen some of the classic monsters making an appearance through the merchandise, and now there’s even a Werewolf Chocolate Cake Pop available inside the Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store.
Inside the third room of the Tribute Store, guests will find a selection of spooky-themed treats to help satisfy some of our HHN needs. This Werewolf Chocolate Cake Pop caught our attention among the large display of treats, so we decided to give it a try. It’s a decent-sized treat for $5.49.
This honestly might be one of the cutest themed treats they have, with chocolate fur and frosting fangs. Who doesn’t love a snack that takes a great photo, right?
Unfortunately, that’s where the fun ends and the real horror begins.
There’s just something really off about this entire treat. All of the chocolate flavors just tasted strange. The shavings have a bittersweet chocolate taste and the frosting also had an odd chocolate flavor to it. The cake inside was fresh, but it tasted dry. It was really horrific, but maybe that’s what they were going for. We wanted to like it, but there was just no redeeming flavor here. Avoid this snack like you would a real werewolf.
Don’t be scared to try something else on your next visit to the Tribute Store. Even though this one may have sent us running, there are many different Halloween snacks available at Universal Studios Florida that are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth. Be sure to keep following Universal Parks News Today for more reviews of the other treats available from the Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store!
