Following up on our report that David S. Pumpkins is expected to appear at Halloween Horror Nights 32, new information has revealed that he will be present for meet and greets.
David S. Pumpkins Meet and Greet
Prior rumors had alluded to a variety show, and it’s unknown if that is still on the drawing board. However, guests will reportedly be able to meet Pumpkins at the Peacock Halloween Bar behind Lombard’s Seafood Grille. Set up for the bar is underway, as seen in the photo above.
Tom Hanks originated the role of David S. Pumpkins on the October 22, 2016 episode of SNL. The sketch — written by Mikey Day, Bobby Moynihan, and Streeter Seidell — has a couple riding a Tower of Terror-esque ride called 100 Floors of Frights. David S. Pumpkins, a man in a pumpkin-patterned suit, continues to appear and dance with two skeletons (Day and Moynihan).
David S. Pumpkins went viral. He starred in the animated 2017 “The David S. Pumpkins Halloween Special” and returned to SNL for a 2022 sketch.
This wouldn’t be the character’s first Halloween Horror Nights appearance. He previously cameoed in “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure.”
Halloween Horror Nights 32
Halloween Horror Nights 32 is an after-hours, hard-ticket event that will take place at Universal Studios Florida on select nights from September 1 through November 4. There will be 10 haunted houses:
- Stranger Things 4
- The Exorcist: Believer
- The Last of Us
- Chucky: Ultimate Kill Count
- Universal Monsters: Unmasked
- Dr. Oddfellow’s Twisted Origins
- Dueling Dragons: Choose Thy Fate
- YETI: Campground Kills
- The Darkest Deal
- Bloodmoon: Dark Offerings
Guests can visit some of the houses during the day for a lights-on tour with Behind the Screams: Unmasking the Horror.
The five scare zones are all connected to Dr. Oddfellow:
- Dr. Oddfellow’s Collection of Horror
- Dark Zodiac
- Jungle of Doom: Expedition Horror
- Vamp ’69: Summer of Blood
- Shipyard 32: Horrors Unhinged
