Thunder Falls Terrace, Captain America Diner, and More Revert to Mobile Order Only at Universal Orlando Resort

Quick-service restaurants at Universal Orlando Resort have reverted to using only mobile ordering again. Some are table-service mobile ordering, while some are pick-up.

When Universal Orlando Resort reopened in June 2020, quick-service restaurants were all using an updated version of mobile ordering to curb lines and enforce physical distancing. By June 2021, mobile ordering was almost completely discontinued, before returning alongside standard counter ordering. Now, these restaurants are back to the June 2020 system.

A Team Member showed us this guide for mobile ordering via the Universal Orlando Resort App.

First you press the three-lined menu in the top left corner of the app. You then select “Mobile Food & Drink Ordering.” Or you can press “Order Food” on the home page.

After making an order, you will be able to click “View My Order” to see your past orders.

At select restaurants, guests must be seated before clicking “I’ve Arrived, Prepare My Order.”

Guests can then input their table number.

Thunder Falls Terrace, Captain America Diner, Cafe 4, and The Leaky Cauldron are all using table delivery mobile ordering. Everything else is using pick-up, which means you would order via the app and then pick up your food from a window.

At the table delivery restaurants, a Team Member is stationed at the door and won’t allow guests inside unless they have a mobile order.

After entering, a Team Member will escorts guests to a table, which has a number on it.

Only after being seated will guests be able to tell the app that they’ve arrived and input the table number.

Team Members are manning the counters to pick up and deliver food to tables.

Thunder Falls Terrace has also been decorated with “Jurassic World Dominion” banners, just like the Universal Studios Store at Universal Studios Florida.

Over at Marvel Super Hero Island, Captain America Diner is also using table delivery mobile order.

A Team Member is once again guarding the door.
