Mobile Ordering Returns, New Biosyn Mug, Low Crowds, Hot Weather, and More: Universal Orlando Resort Photo Report 5/4/22
Greetings from another beautiful day at the Universal Orlando Resort. It’s a very hot day, but the parks aren’t too busy, so we’re ready to make the best of it. Let’s head over to Universal Studios Florida first and see what’s new.
Inside the Universal Studios Store, we found a new Biosyn mug for $13. This is coming home with us today.
Good morning, SpongeBob!
Wait times are low around the parks for most attractions. When Diagon Alley is this empty, you know it’s a good day to be here.
Walked right onto the Hogwarts Express with no wait. Don’t forget this attraction will be closed for refurbishment next month. Read more about the temporary closure in our post here.
Over at Islands of Adventure, the crowds weren’t bad at all. When the barricades have been taken down outside of Hogsmeade, it’s another sign the parks will be quiet. There are typically barricades used for the line for Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, so when the wait time is short, those barricades are taken down. There’s no need for a queue that extends into the Lost Continent when the wait time is only 65 minutes.
Mobile Ordering has returned to a few restaurants, including Thunder Falls Terrace. These restaurants require you to place a mobile order before entering the restaurant and then use the table number to have the order prepared. You can read more about the mobile ordering process in our post here.
The interior of Thunder Falls Terrace has new Jurassic World banners on the columns in the dining room.
It’s so hot today, so everyone is huddled in the shade. At least it’s not busy!
Thanks for following us around today, but we’re going to get out of here. Be sure to stay tuned to Universal Parks News Today for more updates!
