The Mardi Gras 2022 Tribute Store at Universal Studios Florida opened today with tons of new treats. We picked up the Hurricane shaker cake.

Hurricane Shaker Cake – $18

We were prepared for the worst, but this actually wasn’t that bad.

It has a very strong citrus flavor, with an orange/passion fruit taste.

The cake itself had a faint citrus flavor, but it could be from the frosting.

There was a ton of thick frosting. The cake is extremely soft and crumbly.

The cake wasn’t too dry, but a few bites will satisfy. We couldn’t possibly eat much more of this as it’s huge — good for sharing.

The souvenir shaker is the best part for us.

All of the treats inside the Tribute Store count as merchandise, so the discount food card can’t be used.
