This Shrimp Po’Boy is delicious. There’s a Blackened Chicken Po’Boy in the park, but this Shrimp Po’Boy is even better. We always compliment how amazing the bread is on the sandwiches we get here at Universal Orlando and this is no different. Fluffy and fresh, as soon as we picked up this sandwich, we were prepared for greatness.

The shredded lettuce and tomato were fresh and the crispy shrimp was perfect. The sauce is the stand out topping here, though. That creole mustard aioli was a zesty, Cajun-style sauce that made this worth returning for. Each bite was better than the last. Paired with the spicy seasoned chips, this is a winner for us.

Anita Purple Haze Draft Beer – $7.50

We couldn’t think of a better beer to pair with this shrimp po’boy.

King Cake – $4.50

This King Cake was a little sad. It was basically a really dry cinnamon roll that couldn’t even be saved by a layer of icing and sprinkles. Save your money on this and splurge on the King Cake in the park.

Bowling Pin Hurricane – $25

Bacardi Light Rum, Myers Dark Rum, Chinola Passionfruit Liquer, lemon juice, orange juice, grenadine

Now this is a souvenir cup! These bowling pin souvenir cups come with the Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler Hurricane and refills are $22. We snagged the last purple bowling pin, but there were plenty of red ones available. Whether you’re hitting the lanes or kicking back by the fire at the pool, this drink is the best way to go. Skip Swizzle and head up to Galaxy Bowl. Even if you’re not dining in, you can walk up to the bar and grab a drink to go. It doesn’t get much better than that!

This drink is extremely strong, so if you’re looking for a good time, step right up to the bar at Galaxy Bowl. No pre-mixed drinks here! This drink is expertly poured for you and packs a punch. This drink has a tiki vibe, with a strong rum base and subtle hints of tropical juices. The drink is very alcohol-forward, and our bar tender even offered to add more juice if it was too strong. We have no complaints and are looking forward to returning for another.

Even if you’re not staying at Cabana Bay, we suggest taking a bus over from CityWalk to check out some of the bars here or grab a casual meal at Galaxy Bowl. The retro vibe of the resort is perfect for chilling out with a drink and you can’t beat this Bowling Pin Hurricane and a Shrimp Po’Boy this time of year.
