Let’s try our luck with these new items!

Fortune Cookie Frappe – $7.00

Vanilla frappe with blended fortune cookies, topped with a fortune cookie, whipped cream, and sprinkles

fortune cookie frappe 2

Wow, this is good! It really does taste like a fortune cookie, likely from the fortune cookies blended into the drink.

Being a frappe, it is lighter than a full-on milkshake, making it easier to drink and more enjoyable.

fortune cookie frappe 8

It tastes just like a sweeter version of a fortune cookie. We didn’t know that fortune cookies had a distinct flavor that could be recognized in another food, but they definitely can.

This one is surprisingly good and a great way to end a meal for Lunar New Year.

Year of the Tiger Cookie – $4.99

To mark the Year of the Tiger, the cookie features a likeness of Master Tigress from DreamWorks’ “Kung Fu Panda” films.

It’s a pretty cookie, but ultimately, this tiger is pretty tame. The cookie is nice and crispy, giving you a definite crunch. But the Tigress applique on top is chewy, taking away from that crispy break.

The gold decorative sprinkles are nice and crunchy as well, and there’s a burst of sweetness from the frosting. But overall, it’s a run-of-the-mill theme park cookie.

Universal’s standard sugar cookie is not spectacular, and that’s what this is built on.

The frosting helps, but it doesn’t save it. It’s super cute and great for food photography, but not super great for your taste buds.
