REVIEW: New Christmas Cookie Old Fashioned and Yippie Pie Yay Cocktails are Holiday Delights at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort

Sometimes, the best way to celebrate the holidays is with a little bit of bowling and a good beverage. Luckily, Galaxy Bowl at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort has two cocktails that are perfect for the season!

The Christmas Cookie Old Fashioned and Yippie Pie Yay are available at the bar, and can be taken to go or enjoyed at the tables nearby.

Christmas Cookie Old Fashioned — $12.50

El Mayor Tequila, Monin Gingerbread Syrup, Angostura Bitters, Aztec Chocolate Bitters, and an Orange Peel

Typically, an old fashioned is served with whiskey, so we were surprised that the tequila actually tasted closer to a whiskey. We didn’t really pick up on the gingerbread or cookie flavor, but there was plenty of chocolate flavor to enjoy.

We really liked it, but it’s for those that like strong drinks and want to taste their alcohol.

Yippie Pie Yay — $11.00

360 Vanilla Vodka, Monin Praline Syrup, Monin Cinnamon Syrup, Intense Ginger Liqueur, Chocolate Syrup, Half & Half, and Nutmeg

This was absolutely delicious. We couldn’t taste the alcohol, as it went down smooth, somewhat like a vanilla milkshake.

Also like a milkshake, this is rather creamy and sweet.

We thought it was absolutely perfect, so much so that we’re already making plans to get it again before the holidays are over.
