BREAKING: Masks Required Indoors for All Guests and Team Members at Universal Orlando Resort Starting Friday, December 24

Universal Orlando Resort has updated their COVID-19 safety policies to require masks indoors for all guests and Team Members, regardless of vaccination status. This policy will take effect on Friday, December 24.

This comes after the CDC moved Orange County to the “high” transmission risk category.

Masks will also be required in all queues and attractions “from the moment guests enter the queue to when they exit the experience.”

Previously, Universal Orlando had removed its indoor mask requirement for guests on May 29 and Team Members on June 26.

  1. We will be cancelling our Annual Passes when they’re due to renew in January based on this idiocy. Don’t need Disney and I guess now we don’t need Universal either.

  2. Well that is disappointing. I was thinking about doing a 2022 Universal trip and one of the biggest selling points was the non exist mask policy. Guess I will be going somewhere else and it won’t be Disney.

  3. At this point, masks ain’t gonna help “slow the spread” or do anything for that matter. The omicron variant is rampant at this point, there is no stopping it, everyone will get it, which has been likened to a common cold/flu. Time to move on.
