Quiet on set; we’re ready to roll! We headed out to Universal Studios Hollywood on Black Friday to catch the start of the holiday celebrations at the Entertainment Capital of LA, and we want you to join us.

The holiday celebration is touted from the street, as the entrance marquee clues passers-by into what is offered this season.

And CityWalk is all decorated as well, with The Grinch taking over the Universal Studio Store for the season.

We scoped out the decorations all over the park, and you can see them all in our post about it right here.

Even the filmmakers’ statue was getting into the spirit of the season.

New York Street brought snowfall to sunny Los Angeles through the magic of set decoration.

Face coverings are required at all indoor and outdoor locations, and vaccine cards or negative COVID tests are required to enter the park.

There’s plenty of Grinch merchandise for the season. Much of it is returning stock from years past, but there are a few new items.

This Loungefly backpack is super cute, but it was locked away behind glass.

This Christmas Minion popcorn bucket has eyes that move side to side and comes with a free fill of popcorn all day.

And these Minion Christmas ornaments are just adorable.

Some more general Universal Studios merchandise for the season as well.

We found some cool t-shirts that aren’t Holiday themed, but just cool shirts in general for a day in the park.

And these Hogwarts House jackets feature each of the four houses, with a zippered closure that can fold out into wide lapels. Very cool style, and so soft.

Of course, the big draw at this time of year is Grinchmas. This annual celebration is tons of fun and full of special snacks, photo ops, meet and greets, stage shows, and more.

Even the Whos have to comply with the mask mandate when greeting guests.

The Grinch may be muzzled for now, but that mask won’t stop his sharp tongue from razzing the guests a bit in good-hearted fun.

Pets Place is celebrating its first Holiday season since opening last April, and the pets are all ready for photos with excited guests.

Minion Café is also new this Holiday season, and the Minions are all dressed up in their ugliest sweaters on the façade of the restaurant.

There is a beautiful Minion tree out front with Minion baubles strung about as decoration.

Hogsmeade always looks a bit Christmas-y with its glittering snowy roofs, but the garland really brings the Yuletide cheer.

As we head down to the Lower Lot, we get a great vantage point to scope out the work being done on the upcoming Super Nintendo World.

The steel of the upper levels has been largely put in place, and now sheathing is being prepped for installation.

The entrance tunnel will be located here, just next to Transformers the Ride, and the iconic green tunnel is taking shape behind this wall.

The Jurassic World Christmas tree is beautifully decorated in jungle flowers and tiny pterodactyls scattered around the tree.

Inside the Lower Lot’s Studio Store, a selection of props from “Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas” (2000) are on display. Props include the electric razor, Who ice skates, and more.

This Countdown to Christmas wristwatch is just beautiful.

Also on display is the invitation that Cindy Lou Who brings to the Grinch when he is nominated Holiday Cheermeister.

It was a very crowded day at the park with all the friends and families in town for the holiday. We had fun, but it was hard to move around easily, and the lines were out of control.

The Starway was jammed with guests as we made our way back to the Upper Lot, and we were glad to get out of their way.
