Confisco Grille at Universal’s Islands of Adventure is one of our favorite dining spots at the Universal Orlando Resort. We love to stop in and grab a quick bite to eat in a relaxed atmosphere away from the crowds. Lunch at Confisco Grille is always an adventure, so let’s dig in!
Vegetable Pot Stickers – $10
Pan fried vegetable dumplings, shiitake and beech mushrooms, baby bok choy, red curry broth, and chili threads. Request a vegan alternative by replacing red curry broth with sweet chili sauce.
This dish is typically served in a red curry broth, but we decided to switch it up for the vegan option with sweet chili sauce. Our server was amazing and knowledgeable and started pointing out other vegan options on the menu, which was very helpful.
This is a great appetizer for sharing. Each dumpling was perfectly cooked and filled with veggies. The sweet chili sauce wasn’t too spicy but added a nice kick to the dumplings and bed of veggies.
Ahi Tuna Nachos – $14
Sesame seared ahi tuna, diced avocado, edamame, Napa cabbage, jalapeno, micro cilantro, wonton chips, scallions, sweet soy, and wasabi aioli drizzles.
The Ahi Tuna Nachos are not only beautiful but delicious. We were really impressed by this dish. Each bite was extremely flavorful. The sweet soy and wasabi drizzles brought this dish to another level. Crispy, flaky wonton chips serve as the perfect base for this dish. Each topping is plentiful, from the tuna to the avocado.
This is a must-have when visiting Confisco Grille. Whether you order it for your meal or as an appetizer to share, it’s one of the best dishes on the menu.
Chilled Tuna Noodle Bowl – $18
Sesame seared yellowfin tuna, soba noodles, green onion, avocado, edamame, cucumber, wasabi-ponzu dressing.
The chilled tuna noodle bowl was nicely prepared with a healthy covering of sesame seeds, a good portion with the noodles, and plenty of avocado. The noodles are tender and soak up all of the spicy ponzu dressing, which is the perfect accompaniment.Â
Perfect for a hot day as it is cool and refreshing, but also not too heavy. We recommend this.
