Welcome to a beautiful night at the Universal Orlando Resort. We arrived late in the day to take a sunset stroll around Islands of Adventure before heading over to Universal Studios Florida for some Halloween Horror Nights fun. Let’s check out what’s happening today.
Before heading over to Islands of Adventure, we stopped by the gates of Universal Studios Florida to check out the crowds waiting to get into Halloween Horror Nights.
It’s a little busy over at Islands of Adventure, but not too bad. On Halloween Horror Nights event nights, Islands of Adventure is open later than Universal Studios Florida and tends to get more crowded after Universal Studios Florida closes.
Jurassic World posters are slowly started to get restocked in the Discovery Center. Be sure to check out the matching shirts, too!
It’s an absolutely gorgeous night here in the parks. The weather is great and you can’t beat these views.
The sky is perfect for photos.
Refurbishment continues on Caro-Seuss-el in Seuss Landing. We’ve been told there were structural issues and while looking at the Christmas decorations, we could see some of the repairs along the roof.
When All the Books You Can Read is playing “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” you know the holidays have arrived.
Seuss Landing has begun decorating for the holidays and now we get to see some of those decorations lit. It’s beginning to look a lot like Grinchmas!
Check out our post for more photos and a video tour of the decorations.
Port of Entry has also started to add Christmas decorations.
Next stop, Universal Studios Florida for some scares!
Tonight’s event was sold out so the park was very crowded at the peak of the night.
Wait times seemed to average around 60-75 minutes for many of the houses.
There was also a 75 minute wait for Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts in Diagon Alley. Also, as a reminder, this attraction closes around 11 PM during Halloween Horror Nights for maintenance.
The Halloween season is almost over, so we’re taking the opportunity to enjoy some of our favorite dishes one last time. You can check out our full foodie guide here and a review of this Jack’d Donut Slider here.
When there’s no line at the KidZone Pizza Company, you stop by and grab a Fryer and Ice. French fries dipped in Tabasco ketchup and chocolate ice cream is an oddly satisfying combination. You can read all of our thoughts on this menu here.
Did we mention it was the perfect night? Fantastic weather and a big, bright moon in the sky.
Gonna miss seeing my face in the Tribute Store.
New Beetlejuice POP Loungefly items have arrived. There’s a bag and wallet now available in the Universal Studios Store. These also match the backpack that was recently released.
This Shrek 4-D shirt is soon to be a collectible. The attraction will be closed permanently on January 10, 2022.
Thanks for joining us today around the Universal Orlando Resort. From Christmas to Halloween, it’s been a long day, so we’re gonna get out of here, but make sure you stay tuned to Universal Parks News Today for more updates!
