REVIEW: New Cookie Dough Balls Are a Scream at Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store in Universal Studios Florida

After stuffing ourselves with Knife Trifle Cake, we headed back into the Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store for more treats. Next up we tried some cookie dough balls.

There are four cookie dough bites. The cauldron is chocolate, the one with a knife is red velvet, the white and brown eyeball is peanut butter, and the one with two orange eyes is sugar cookie.

This cauldron is topped with some fun chocolate candy pieces and sprinkles.

The chocolate shell is very thick—thicker than any of the other coatings —and makes this an extremely chocolatey dessert.

Of the four fillings, this chocolate dough is the best. It’s really rich and tastes like brownie batter.

Red Velvet Cookie Dough Ball – $4.50

The knife is technically an edible cookie but it was impossible to bite. We had to spit it out or else sacrifice our teeth to the tooth fairy.

Aside from the knife though, this one was a winner.

The red velvet flavor inside was amazing and the dough texture was perfect.

The white chocolate shell complemented the red velvet well.

Peanut Butter Eye Cookie Dough Ball – $4.50

The combination of chocolate and peanut butter should taste great, but this was a bit of a disappointment.

The peanut butter flavor is so light, we were questioning if this was the peanut butter ball.

Eyeballs Sugar Cookie Dough Ball – $4.50

We love the blue food coloring, but otherwise this one doesn’t do much for us.

The texture is a bit gritty and it tasted a little of salt.

The shell also really took away from the cookie dough’s flavor.

It’s simple, but not the best.

These were hit or miss. Chocolate lovers will enjoy the cauldron, while the red velvet ball is probably the best overall. The other two just fell short.
