Welcome to a beautiful Saturday morning here at the Universal Orlando Resort. We arrived bright and early to find very low crowds and the smiling faces of Team Members.

Yesterday, it was confirmed that fully vaccinated Team Members could work maskless outdoors starting today.

As we made our way around the park, we noticed a lot of Team Members were still wearing face coverings while working outside.

Fans of Universal Studios retro merchandise are in luck. This black shirt features the retro logo and is covered in neon paint splatters on both the front and back. If you look closely, you’ll notice they all have their own unique paint pattern. The shirt is $28 and you can find it in multiple stores, including the Universal Legacy Store and the Universal Studios Store.

Crowds weren’t bad for a Saturday morning and many of the attractions had low wait times..

Restaurants around the parks have removed the dividers between tables now. Hopefully we will see higher capacity at restaurants for the summer.

Over at Islands of Adventure, we made our way over to VelociCoaster. The attraction was at a 55 minute wait and getting busier throughout the morning. Umbrellas have been added to the extended queue to provide a little shade for guests waiting in line.

Jurassic Outfitters has a lot of new merchandise available, but our favorite is this Loungefly backpack and wallet. You can see more new merchandise in our post here.

A new specialty drink has been added to the menu at the Watering Hole. The Watering Hole is one of our favorite spots at Universal Orlando, so we will be back to try the Fossilizer soon.

The refurbishments in Toon Lagoon are making progress quickly. The areas with water features are being repaired and look really good so far.

We have a feeling that Storm Force Accelatron could reopen sometime soon for the summer. The warning signs by the entrance were removed after the attraction closed last year, but now they have returned. This looks like a good sign.
