Welcome to another busy day here at the Universal Orlando Resort! It’s hot, sunny, and crowded, so let’s get right to it and see what’s happening today.
We started our day over at Islands of Adventure first and made our way through the crowds to head towards Jurassic Park.
Not much new is happening around the Jurassic World VelociCoaster site, but we did spot a random water bottle in the raptor paddock. Let’s hope someone just left this behind and wasn’t eaten by a raptor.
Speaking of raptors, Raptor Encounter has been very popular lately. We always love stopping in to see Blue and the baby raptors, Sierra and Tango, when we have a chance.
The painting around Jurassic Park Discovery Center continues with more fresh colors on the sign over the entrance. This looks even better than the shiny bronze colors we saw on our last visit.
A mysterious structure has started to take shape behind construction walls next to Thunder Falls Terrace. We’ll be keeping an eye on this area for any more visible changes.
Lines are long for restaurants and food carts around the park, so when we saw no line for Cafe 4, we decided to take the opportunity to grab a slice of veggie pizza and relax in the air conditioning.
Painting continues on the “If I Ran the Zoo” play area in Seuss Landing, although it is still closed.
We made our way over to Universal Studios Florida next and met up with Shrek, Princess Fiona, and Donkey dressed in their Mardi Gras outfits. They look great. Can we all just take a moment to appreciate Shrek’s onion Mardi Gras bead necklace?
The fountain in front of the old A Day in the Park with Barney theater is filled with water again, but it’s just not the same without him.
It’s a hot day, and some guests are enjoying lunch in shady spots around the parks, while others choose to soak up some rays while laying in the grass.
Lines for food are almost worse than the lines for attractions. This is our cue to get out of here.
Thanks for joining us around the parks today. We’ll be back soon and hopefully the crowds won’t be so bad as Spring Break winds down! Be sure to keep following Universal Parks News Today for all the latest updates!
