Annual Passholder Exclusive Truffle Parmesan Fries — $6.99

These parmesan truffle fries start off pretty good, but go downhill quickly. The white truffle aioli is the best part of the dish, but there isn’t enough of it.

We don’t know if they skimped on the sauce to avoid making the french fries soggy, but they shouldn’t bother because they were already pretty limp and soggy as it is.

The fries were overly seasoned and salty, which completely masked the taste of any parmesan cheese. The first few bites of the fries were good because you got a better ratio of the aioli, but after that top layer, the fries were chalky and gross.

Overall, these fries left a bad salty aftertaste in our mouth, and we wouldn’t order them again.

We recommend skipping this dish, but if you’re looking for a Passholder Exclusive, head over to Chez Alcatraz for the Passholder Exclusive Caribbean Cooler. If french fries are more your speed, the better dish (and the better value) is at the Belgium Mardi Gras booth.
