It’s Mardi Gras season here at the Universal Orlando Resort, and no Mardi Gras would be complete without King Cake! The Tribute Store in Universal Studios Florida has a wide variety of sweet and savory snacks, but we obviously couldn’t resist trying the King Cake. Let’s dig in!

This is a pretty decent sized cake and perfect for sharing. There’s even a large shortbread cookie crown on top.

For safety reasons, Universal does not put any type of plastic figures in the cake. The frosting was lost under the bright purple, green, and yellow sanding sugar. We cut into the cake and got ready to give it a try.

The cinnamon flavor wasn’t quite as prominent as we anticipated, causing us to have mixed reactions to this treat. Some of us really enjoyed it and ranked it as one of our top choices, while others were left unimpressed. The good thing is, there is a little something for everyone at the Tribute Store.
