This Pop Tart is topped simply with light purple icing and sanding sugar.

Opening up a cross section of the dessert, you can see the layers of pastry. The filling inside is a thick consistency, and the same light purple as the icing on top. It doesn’t look particularly appetizing to the eye.

The pastry is extremely fresh and dense, but the tart is very dry along the edges without the filling. The lemon flavor is tart, and mixed with the blueberry gives an almost a raspberry type of taste. It’s creamy and thick and delicious, but it doesn’t reach all the way to the edges, so there’s a lot of pastry crust without anything to balance it out. The edges were just too dry without any filling and we wish we’d had a drink while trying this pastry.

It’s not too sweet and the flavor is good, but it just falls short. We weren’t impressed with this offering and don’t plan on ordering it again. Go to Central Park Crepes for a lemon blueberry crepe if you really want something delicious.
