Following the addition of the marquee, the raptor figures above the entrance to the VelociCoaster are now being unwrapped.
“Jurassic World VelociCoaster” is displayed above the ride’s future entrance, between the looming raptor statues.
The paint job on the figures doesn’t look complete (at least from this distance), so hopefully someone is going to go up there and paint some more details on them.
Jurassic World VelociCoaster is fully functional, as we saw when it ran with riders for promotional filming earlier this week. A few days ago, more construction walls came down too. Only set dressing remains for the attraction as it approaches its summer 2021 opening. Are you excited for this “new species of coaster”? Let us know in the comments.
Seems like the intention of the figures over the entrance is to look like cast bronze statues. You can see what appears to be some “weathering” on the back tail of the one in the foreground and around the eyes of the one in the background. Wouldn’t expect any more paint on these with that in mind.
