WDWNT has been closely following Jurassic World VelociCoaster construction at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. While we can provide photos from the ground, we can’t give you the amazing views captured by bioreconstruct. New aerial photographs shared on Twitter give us an osprey’s view of construction.

The VelociCoaster’s first launch is at the center of this photo. Bioreconstruct has added arrows to show where weathering effects have been added.

The second launch will send riders over the tall, top-hat element. An osprey is continually building a nest at the very top.

Construction continues along the waterfront. Protective foam has been added to windows (center) while plywood (right center) protects concrete work from construction vehicles.

The left arrow points to stalled retaining wall construction. The right arrow shows where vegetation is being staged.

This photo provides a better view of the protective foam that has been added to viewing windows. The arrow points to the osprey and her nest.

Bioreconstruct added the arrow to show that some of the protective wrap has been removed from one raptor.

This section of construction walls is all that remains along the Jurassic Park paths.

From this angle, it is obvious that the top-hat element will be quite a thrill!

In addition to the bridge, guests will be able to use a tree-lined walkway to access the attraction (arrow, right).

Those who have been closely following Jurassic World: VelociCoaster construction know about the aforementioned osprey. Bioreconstruct often documents the osprey’s nest.

As soon as workers remove the nest, the osprey quickly rebuilds.

This sequence shows the osprey returning with sticks.

Even from above, the osprey and nest are noticeable. It will be interesting to see how Universal handles this example of nature “finding a way.”
