Welcome to another busy day at the Universal Orlando Resort. The parks haven’t hit capacity since the holidays, but they have definitely been more crowded this weekend. The weather was cool today but that didn’t stop guests from coming out to enjoy all the parks have to offer. Let’s jump in and see what’s new!
Universal Studios Florida was busy and many of the attractions had high wait times. Today would be a great day to have an Express Pass!
Inside the MIB Gear store at the exit of Men in Black Alien Attack we found some new Frank the Pug shirts that would be perfect for Valentine’s day. There are two youth shirts and one adult. The shirts also say “Universal Studios” on them as well as the name of the attraction.
Crowds around the parks were pretty typical for a weekend but not nearly as bad as we expected for a holiday weekend.
We managed to get a Virtual Line time for Revenge of the Mummy, which reopened yesterday following a brief refurbishment. The projections have gotten an upgrade and look a lot clearer. We also felt that the lighting and other effects seemed to look a little better. This ride is one of our favorites in the parks and we’re glad it has reopened.
Over the the Williams of Hollywood Prop Shop, we spotted some new items available for purchase from the old Ben & Jerry’s location. These vintage framed photos were displayed in the ice cream shop and are now available for purchase for $50 each.
We stopped into the TODAY Cafe to grab a quick snack. We decided to try the Blueberry Lemon Cheesecake Pop Tart. Stay tuned for our full review.
These vegan croissants at TODAY Cafe looked pretty good, too.
It seems like a steady stream of guests were still arriving throughout the day.
After a long day at Universal Studios Florida, we made our way over to Islands of Adventure for the evening. It was still pretty busy even late in the day.
Crowds seemed to let up a little when the temperatures started to drop as the sun went down.
Hogsmeade wasn’t too crowded towards the evening.
That’s all for this visit to the Universal Orlando Resort. Thanks for joining us on our journey today. Keep following Universal Parks News Today and WDWNT for more updates on everything happening at the Universal Orlando Resort!
