When we last checked in on the newly officially announced Jurassic World VelociCoaster, a lot was going on. We noticed lots of cosmetic touches like lights and landscaping being installed. Now, new electric fence safety wires have been installed to keep the Velociraptors inside their paddocks. These wires run all along the upper edge of the walls and are meant to keep the raptors from jumping over the fences, though some raptors have been known to jump at them anyway to test the fence for weaknesses. Clever girls.

These thematic elements are not actually electrified but when guests are flying through the sets on the ride, they’ll hardly notice the difference.

Workers were spotted applying these and other thematic elements, like the new lights we saw in our last report.

This is shaping up to be a really cool ride. If the on-ride concept video and concept art give any indication, this will be an action-packed coaster full of dinosaurs and adrenaline. We can’t wait for Summer 2021! Are you excited for the new Jurassic World VelociCoaster? Let us know in the comments below.
