Greetings from the Universal Orlando Resort! It’s another busy day here, and we weren’t surprised when the theme parks hit capacity not long after opening this morning. We’re glad we got up early! We made our way over to Universal Studios Florida first to check in on the reopening of Williams of Hollywood Prop Shop.

The Prop Shop has been closed since the reopening, and we were excited when we heard news that they would be reopening this weekend. We couldn’t wait to explore. We picked up a few interesting pieces for our collection, including a Fast and Furious Supercharged sign. Don’t judge us. The park was relatively quiet this morning, but that wouldn’t last for long.

We noticed this line for the drink stand, and we couldn’t stop laughing at the fact that nobody was using the social distancing markers. They’re more like guidelines anyways, right?

This lamp post was missing for a while, and recently returned with a Blue Man Group sign. Now, the sign has been changed to a generic Universal Studios Florida sign. This makes sense since there are no shows scheduled at this time.

Wait times continued to creep up throughout the morning.

The crowds didn’t seem too bad this morning, but then there was a sudden surge of guests and things got busy.

Since the parks were at capacity, a pathway was opened between the two parks that allowed guests to travel between the two parks via a backstage route. Over the last few weekends, many guests were opting to wait for the Hogwarts Express so they wouldn’t have to leave the park and risk being denied entrance to the other park. Now, you’ll find signs directing you to this connecting path. From Universal Studios Florida, you’ll enter near Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, through the “secret entrance” under the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit track.

Guests traveling to Universal Studios Florida would take a path from Seuss Landing, between Circus McGurkus and One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. Team Members were stationed at both entrances scanning park tickets. This was a very convenient way to travel between the two parks!

This week, we noticed that the lines for food around Islands of Adventure were out of control, so it’s good to see more locations reopening. Doc Sugrue’s Desert Kebab House in the Lost Continent was open and busy.

We usually try to make our way through the Wizarding World as quickly as possible on the weekends to avoid the crowds.

It’s unfortunate that the bypass bridge isn’t open today.

Another net has been added along the Jurassic World VelociCoaster track.

We can’t wait until they remove the plastic wrap from the raptors around the Jurassic World VelociCoaster.

Wait times were high all over the park.

In Toon Lagoon, we found Cathy’s Ice Cream has reopened, serving up sundaes and shakes to help guests cool down.

Things seemed to lighten up later in the day, but the parks were still at capacity.

We didn’t see the Croissant Moon Bakery open, but there are extra tables and chairs set up outside, so perhaps it will reopen soon.
