“Happy Christmas Street Party” with Jolly Food, Entertainment, and Merch Coming November 13th through December 27th to Universal Studios Japan
With COVID-19 still raging worldwide, Universal Studios Japan has elected to hold smaller-scale holiday seasons this year, with smaller summer and Halloween events so far. So instead of a full Universal Crystal Christmas, the park says they will take a break and host a unique program this year only to celebrate the holidays with safety in mind. So, the Happy Christmas Street Party will come to Universal Studios Japan from November 13th through December 27th!
This year’s holiday season will feature two special entertainment programs, delicious holiday food, and many Universal friends in festive Christmas costumes!
The headline entertainment offering will be the Happy Christmas Street Party at Mel’s Stage in Hollywood. Guests can join friends from Peanuts, Hello Kitty, and Sesame Street in their holiday costumes along with snowmen and dancers to dance and sing for the holiday season! The show will be performed 2-3 times daily, with times to be announced.
Another show, called New York Christmas Wish, will provide a more mature story for the holidays with a beautiful singer and the gentle tones of the violin to warm your heart for the holidays.
Also, the beloved Power of Pop will present a special Christmas version on the Mel’s Stage!
Yellow Christmas at Minion Park
This year, the Minions will once again greet Guests in special holiday costumes with a special Yellow Christmas at Minion Park greeting! There will also be lots of festive, messy Minions decor throughout the area.
Happy Deco Mask
Guests can flag down certain crew members this holiday and get special stickers to adorn their mask with the holiday spirit! Get excited and show your holiday cheer with by transforming your ordinary mask for the day.
A few special items will be available (more to be announced later) including this Minion Bun with crab cream filling!
There’s also a hot milk tea themed to Tim the Bear, called “Tim’s Cozy Milk Tea”! It’ll keep Guests warm and cozy through the chilly Osaka winter.
A number of adorable items themed to Minions and other IPs will be available for the holiday season. Most items have yet to be announced, so stay tuned to UPNT for more information on coming merchandise.
It’s exciting to see that even with the battle against COVID-19 continuing worldwide, we can still look forward to the holidays at Universal Studios Japan, even if its a bit more scaled-down than normal. Be sure to visit Osaka between November 13th and December 27th to experience this jolly holiday season, and stay tuned to Universal Parks News Today for further coverage!
