REVIEW: Halloween Confetti Cake from the Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store at Universal Studios Florida

The Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store at Universal Studios Florida has been serving up some new themed treats to help you celebrate the spookiest time of year. Between face masks, merchandise, and an extremely themed room at the Tribute Store, there’s no doubt that Beetlejuice would have been a big part of this year’s event. Among the Halloween treats, there are even some Beetlejuice-inspired sweet and savory treats. The Halloween Confetti Cake might not have looked like much in the dim, blacklight-filled room, but once we got in the sunlight, we realized just how amazing this cake was.

The cake is very similar in style to the Confetti Cake from TODAY Cafe, with layers of colored vanilla cake and vanilla frosting all topped by a macaron.

The black and white striped frosting gives off some strong Beetlejuice vibes on top of the layered green cake. Now, it’s time for a little graveyard cake “revue”. The cake and frosting are a basic vanilla flavor, but there’s nothing wrong with a simple dessert. The cake was fresh and dense and the frosting was just the right amount of sweetness. Compared to the cake from TODAY Cafe, this one was much better.

The green macaron on top has a beautiful black and white swirled buttercream frosting in the center, but this was the moment things changed for us. We took a big bite of the macaron and got smacked in the face with mint flavor. We didn’t expect it, and from that moment on, everything tasted minty fresh.

This is a great themed cake that will put you in the holiday spirit. There are lots of terrifying new snacks to try while you’re in the Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store, so we suggest you visit on your next trip to Universal Studios Florida.
