Since reopening, guests have only been required to show a picture ID with their tickets, to reduce contact with touch points.

Today, guests were asked to use finger scanners, with Team Members wiping down the scanners after each guest.

A Team Member we spoke to said that the finger scanning is currently being tested, and guests who want to opt-out just need to show their ID.

You can watch our video of the finger scanning process below.

Though Governor DeSantis recently lifted restrictions, Universal still requires face masks and social distancing. We have noticed heavier crowds recently with Halloween activities underway.

How do you feel about finger scanners returning to use at Universal Orlando Resort? Let us know in the comments.

  1. Ugh. Finger scanners are the worst I hope Disney takes a little longer to bring theirs back! They just take longer and there’s a select few people for whom they just don’t work very well for. My teen daughter is one of them.

  2. We went today and had no problems using the fingerprint scanner. They may not have wiped down between each guest but definitely between each group.
