Universal Orlando Resort has once again quietly changed hours at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. With extremely high crowd levels so far this month on weekends, both parks are closing an extra hour later for the next two Saturdays in August. Hours remain the same on Sundays and throughout the week. Just this afternoon, the parks enabled a “soft close”, where attractions and shows remained operating an hour past posted close times, to ensure guests were able to make the most of their park day despite crowds.

You can view updated Park Hour calendars for both parks below. Keep in mind that hours have been changing fairly rapidly, so we may see another change in the coming weeks.

Universal Studios Florida

At Universal Studios Florida, park hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the exception of August 22 and 29, when the park will remain open until 6:00 PM. Once we get into September, however, hours have actually been reduced by an hour in the evenings, continuing through October.

Universal’s Islands of Adventure

At Universal’s Islands of Adventure, park hours are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with the exception of August 22 and 29, when the park will remain open until 7:00 PM.

Universal’s Volcano Bay & CityWalk Orlando

Hours for CityWalk and Volcano Bay remain unchanged at this time, with CityWalk open daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and Volcano Bay open 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays and 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekends.
