Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-Pendous has reopened today at 11:30 am at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. When the park reopened back in June, the famous big top in Seuss Landing was also reopened, but after a few short weeks, they closed their doors. We heard this was to give Team Members more room to take breaks and social distance, but it seems that the space is now necessary to accommodate the large crowds the park has been drawing over the weekends.
Circus McGurkus is one of the largest indoor restaurants at Universal’s Islands of Adventure, so it’s a great place to eat and feel air conditioning.
The sign that indicates the cafe is closed is currently covered with a hedge.
According to Team Members, Circus McGurkus will not be open every day, so they are likely leaving this sign up for now.

Circus McGurkus is a highly-themed area in Seuss Landing.
The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride! even goes through the circus tent.
There are no specific social distancing signs or markers in the dining area.
Team Members said that the plan is for Circus McGurkus to be open 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM every Saturday, but that is subject to change. The cafe’s hours were previously 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM every day.

That’s good that things are starting to open up again. Seuss Landing is very well themed. I think that it would be nice if there were more dark rides in this land based on other Dr. Seuss characters maybe in the future. One thing that I think needs to be changed is the Grinch suit that is used for meet and greets. The mouth looks weird. Maybe they can have the Jim Carrey version do the meet and greets instead.
