BREAKING: Walt Disney World Resort to Present Reopening Dates to Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force Soon

UPDATE: As of 3:12 PM, it has been confirmed that only Universal Orlando will be presenting its reopening dates tomorrow, with Walt Disney World and SeaWorld to follow in the coming days. We have updated the original post below to avoid any confusion.

With the phased reopening of Disney Springs today, we are one step closer to knowing when Walt Disney World will be reopening. Walt Disney World and other top Orlando theme parks will be delivering reopening presentations to the Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force group in the coming days. These presentations must include planned reopening dates.

Reopening plans will require endorsement from the Orange County Mayor before they can be submitted to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. They will be presented at 2:00 PM tomorrow. At this time, all Walt Disney World parks and resort hotels remain closed.

Disney Springs began its phased reopening today, with third-party restaurants and stores now able to abide by the new increased capacity limits. Starting on May 27, Disney-owned shops and eateries will also reopen under the new guidelines.

  1. Why are y’all the Fox need of Disney? Your headlines are always wrong or misleading clickbait.

    • I mean, this was reported by local news (Orlando Sentinel, Fox, Channel 13, etc.) and then Disney retracted it. People really need to stop being overdramatic lol

  2. I need Disney and don’t want to wear a mask takes the magic out it. Like seeing how magicians reveal their tricks. I am going in August have prior reservations just plan to eat at the Restaurants and spend most of the time in my room if mask are required. Each day we loose another right.

    • Usually, I skip posts when someone doesn’t make the effort to spell check “Loose”.
You can loosen or remove your mask when you’re in your room.

I broke my own rule. It’s worth it.

    • Another selfish twit!! It’s not your right to spread a disease that could kill multiple people.

      • Just waiting to see how many will contract the virus once parks open. LOL. I can just see it, because of people like her up there.

      • Multiple doctors have said that the mask and lock down approach is not the way to go. They say that our immune systems are geared to handle this and those whose aren’t should stay home, not the rest of us. The only way to get ‘heard immunity’ is to carefully take our chances, wash our hands, etc. like we do with all other illnesses.
